Spring Chick(en)s!

They are just the cutest little things!
Three Americaunas ~ they lay blue/green eggs.
Three Cuckoo Marans ~ they lay chocolate colored eggs!
(I was wishing they were chocolate eggs! :~P )

Poor little girls ~ this is their first meal and drink!
(The striped ones, above, are two of the Americaunas
and the other is a Maran.)

The two above are both Americaunas ~ different coloring.

The Marans are hard to tell apart, but the Americauna in the center
I think will grow to be a silver color.

One of each is a late Easter present for the Granddaughters
but this little gal, above, is going to stay with me!

How fun! Aren't they cute?? I love it that they lay a variety of egg colours. I agree with you ~ it is too bad that the chocolate coloured ones aren't really chocolate! BUT...you could do some chocolate things with those eggs! :)

Blessings my friend!
Love,
Camille

Oh Raeann, chickens are just the most adorable little creatures. Even when they grow up :)

Thank you for inviting me over to the farm :-)

Oh I love them~they are so cute!
I have 2 Americaunas. I love their blue eggs. They look like they have eyeliner on.
What a wonderful addition to your farm.

These girls are just darling. I wish I could hold them. I was thinking how cute your granddaughters would be with them and then read that they are to be gifts for them. :)

Thank you so much for all your kind comments. May the Lord bless you today.

Hugs,

Elizabeth

Oh, how adorable!
Some of the chicks that Sarah got are the Americaunas - we will be keeping a few of them, as we like the blue & green eggs!
That would be fun to have one of the dark egg layers!

Blessings!
